With the ancestral roots of Niagara Falls being steeped in the Native American Indian culture and heritage, the Native American Museum of Art is to be our first Staycation Adventure Tour stop. NAMA has and does play a vital role in Native American cultural revitalization and in the history of Native Americans.
Joseph Anderson is a Tuscarora industrialist and founder of the NAMA which is host to works of internationally known Iroquois artists, including Niagara’s own, Joseph Jacobs. Joseph Jacobs is a master stone sculptor and you will be able to view many of his sculptures including his 2010 sculpture depicting the Native American history of creation, aptly named, "Sky Woman".
